3/10/2024 0 Comments Tropico 6 longer bridge mod![]() The end result is that most of the working population spend as much if not more time hiking than they spend in their house, working places and places of leisure combined, and that’s where the game becomes unwinable because the factories production is to slow to cover the maintenance and salaries of the workers. ![]() A few workers start using the buses, a few use the parking decks (and sometime stay there for months), but most keep hiking between distant homes and workplace, or between their homes and distant groceries/taverns/clinics even when similar services are available next door. I tried to remedy it, building parking garages and using the free wheel edict, and when that didn’t work, created a vast network of bus stops tp make transportation easier, but it barely helps. Here’s how it happens: I build a nice, dense, industrial zone where I put all my factories, then put nice apartments, service buildings and entertainment buildings close by, and that’s where things start breaking down.įirst, for some reason, some workers refuse to move close to their working place: I don’t know why mr Rum distillery worker chose to live in the bunkhouse near some corn field on the other side of the main island instead than in the electrified apartment a stone-throw away from his workplace, but whatever, you do you, dear Tropican…īut said Tropican will *walk* from home to work, then back to his house, he’ll walk to the clinic, but not the one next to his home, noooo, to the one farthest away, same thing for the use of his leisury time… First things first, I’m using the Mac version, so maybe I’m talking about a problem which has already been fixed on PC.Īs the title suggest, when I play the sandbox mode, the Tropicans cause the island go bankrupt by spending more time walking from point A to point B than anything else.
